Annually, the CTRFP receives over 100 applications and awards approximately $1M for 20 investigator-initiated projects.  These projects are supported with funding from the ICTS and our partner institutions including The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Saint Louis University, and the University of Missouri-Columbia. Deadlines and the full RFA are available on this website under Funding Opportunities (http://www.icts.wustl.edu/icts-researchers/funding/funding-opportunities/ctrfp-funding-program).

The program will award one year pilot grants not to exceed $50,000 direct costs.

The primary purpose of this program is to fund high quality, innovative proposals that have the potential to promote the translation of scientific discoveries into improvements in human health.  Investigators applying for this funding must be members of the ICTS.  Member eligibility information and registration is available at http://www.icts.wustl.edu/icts-researchers/membership/register?membertype=icts. Applications from new investigators are particularly encouraged. (Additional eligibility requirements will be detailed in the RFA.)

Applications must propose projects that support one or more of the following themes:

o   Improving the Quality of Patient Care

o   Enhancing Patient Safety

o   Improving Patient Outcomes

o   Improving Transfer to Practice

o   Translating Genetic/Genomic Findings

o   Developing/Evaluating Therapeutics
