  annual symposium hosted by the Institute of Clinical and Translational Sci
 ences. This year's theme focuses on the application of informatics tools an
 d methods in a learning health care system.</p><p>The symposium will includ
 e a keynote address given by Patricia Brennan\, RN\, PhD\, Director of the 
 National Library of Medicine. In addition\, the symposium will include plen
 ary talks\, skills-focused workshops\, breakout groups\, and a poster sessi
 on. Posters will showcase the unique ways in which informatics tools advanc
 e research\, academic training\, clinical practice\, and ultimately\, patie
 nt health.</p><h3>Symposium Schedule Overview:</h3><figure class="wp-block-
 table"><table><tbody><tr><td>8:30 am – 10:00 am</td><td>"Tools of the Trade
 " skill sessions are designed to provide detailed information on a specific
  tool or service. Topics include REDCap\, MDClone Synthetic Data Engine\, a
 nd the secondary use of clinical data.</td></tr><tr><td>10:15 am – 11:30 am
 </td><td>"Clinical Correlates" breakout sessions will illustrate how a clin
 ical research team and informatics experts worked together to apply informa
 tics tools to a research question. Topics include the use of REDCap\, servi
 ces provided by the Research Data Core\, leveraging multi-site registries\,
