 ourse Overview:</strong></h4><p>This course is sponsored by the Institute f
 or Clinical and Translational Science (ICTS) at Washington University in St
 . Louis. The course is offered at no charge to trainees and scholars who ar
 e members of the Washington University Institute for Clinical and Translati
 onal Sciences (ICTS) and are enrolled in the 8-hour course. (Individuals ne
 eding fewer than 8 hours of RCR instruction are encouraged to contact the <

 du/topics/responsible-conduct-research/">h </a>to find a suitable RCR progr
 am that can meet their training needs.) Students\, faculty\, and scholars a
 t Washington University may <a href="https://icts.wustl.edu/icts-researcher
 s/membership/register?membertype=icts">join the ICTS online</a>.</p><p>Scho
 lars must attend and complete evaluations for a minimum of 1 Foundations se
 ssion (2 hours)\, and 6 additional 1-hour sessions to complete the course f
 or a total of 8 hours of face-to-face instruction. Each session on a partic
 ular topic will only count once towards completion of the course\, so schol
 ars should ensure that they attend 6 unique sessions in addition to the fou
 ndations session. Scholars are welcome and encouraged to attend additional 
 sessions beyond the required 8-hours. In order to ensure that the curricula
 r goals approved by NIH are met within our ICTS RCR program\, we only recog
 nize events <a href="https://ethicsresearchcore.org/education/rcr/rcr-cours
 e-calendar/">listed on our RCR course calendar</a> toward completion of the

 trong> Trainees should register for the course one week before attending th
 eir first event. In order for attendance at events to count towards the 8 r
 equired hours to finish the course trainees must be registered for the prog
 ram. After a registration form is filled out an automated confirmation emai
 l will be sent to the scholar. Check CCRE Qualtrics account to see list of 
 all enrolled.</p><p><strong>EVENT REGISTRATION: </strong>RCR events require
  that attendees pre-register. Each event on the calendar has a link to regi
 ster for both the course and the individual event. <a href="https://bioethi

 g course does not automatically register one for events. When a scholar reg
 isters for an event an automated email confirmation is sent to them.</p><p>
 <strong>LATE ARRIVAL AND EARLY DEPARTURE POLICY:</strong> Course participan
 ts must plan to arrive prior to the start time of each session to sign in t
 o document their attendance. Participants will not be permitted to join a s
 ession late. Leaving prior to the conclusion of a session will result in lo
 ss of credit for the session.</p>
