My area of interest includes hepatopancreaticobiliary and other GI cancers. In particular, cancer treatment in the elderly and the impact of frailty on cancer outcomes have been key areas of focus. I am also interested in short and long term outcomes in minimally invasive and robotic oncologic surgery. My prior research endeavors have included studies on tumor infiltrating lymphocytes in colorectal liver metastasis, evaluating PV-10 in liver metastases from pancreatic adenocarcinoma, as well as investigations on the tumor microenvironment in pancreatic cancer. While training in a county hospital, I also became interested in access to care and the impact of race, socioeconomic status, and other social factors on cancer outcomes.
