University of Missouri – Columbia (MU)
I am an HIT executive with 15 years of leadership experience. For 8 years I have served as a leader in the Tiger Institute, a strategic partnership between Cerner and MU charged with innovating IT and informatics to improve the provider and patient experience, connect the continuum of care and grow research. I have a long track record of QI and research collaborations in population health, care coordination, interoperability, usability and telemedicine. As CRIO for the School of Medicine I lead several data and analytics teams supporting both healthcare operations and research. I serve as the architect for designing and deploying externally-funded translational informatics R&D interventions including multiple SMART on FHIR-enabled care pathways. I am an ABD PhD Candidate in Bio-Medical Informatics completing my evaluation of a workflow-based burnout instrument coupled with EMR audit data to identify and mitigate EMR causes of burnout.
