Instructor in Psychiatry

Washington University in St. Louis (WU)

I am a physician-scientist at Washington University School of Medicine, where I completed my psychiatry residency on the NIH R25 research track and have joined the faculty as a pharmaco-epidemiologist in the NIDA K12 program. My research uses insurance claims to test how clinical trial findings generalize to the real-world, especially in populations underrepresented in substance use disorders research. I have a particular interest in opioid use disorder treatment gaps in pregnancy and the rational deprescribing—and prescribing—of controlled substances. My research has been published in journals such as the American Journal of Psychiatry and multiple JAMA network publications.
