Currently we are looking at a project on pharmacogenomics of caffeine in preterm newborns. We are interested in looking at EVs in plasma and urine samples from preterm newborns for this project. We also need Caffeine metabolite assays and PK/PD analyses. There was a R21 that we submitted last year that was triaged. We are hoping to revive the possibility of it getting funded by developing some preliminary data.
In the future, we are interested exploring projects related to cell cultures, lipidomics from plasma samples and microbiomics from stool samples in newborns. In the past we have performed some cytokine, transcriptomics and SNP work.
