I am a radiation oncologist with both clinical and research interests dedicated to improving outcomes of patients receiving radiation therapy for thoracic cancers. Despite technological advances in radiation therapy and the development of immunotherapies, outcomes for patients with advanced thoracic cancers such as lung, esophageal and mesothelioma remain suboptimal. Cancer control outcomes are lagging those of other disease sites such as prostate and breast cancers, and the toxicities causes by radiation therapies are contributing to significant morbidity and mortality in this fragile patient population. My interests lie in developing technologically innovative treatment protocols to escalate therapy safely to optimize tumor control for cancers with suboptimal local control rates.
