I’m currently working on several clinical research studies that explore the metabolic effects of different nutritional approaches such as protein restriction, calorie restriction, intermittent fasting and Mediterranean diet, on humans health.
I’m particularly interested in the role of diet on cardiovascular function, cancer prevention, inflammation, glucose metabolism and the aging process. I’m also recently started working on a research study to test the effects of intermittent fasting in patients with Multiple Sclerosis, as a possible additional intervention to control relapses and disease progression.
