We focus on the epidemiology of ADHD and associated childhood psychiatric disorders, using two approaches. First, we are currently analyzing data from a large private medical insurance claims database (>1.5million persons), including prescription data. Second, we are analyzing data from a population-based genetic-epidemiological study in Missouri families (including both questionnaire data as well as exome chip SNP data). These studies involve both applied as well as methodological work, with the application of novel machine learning algorithms.
