I have a two-track epilepsy research focus involving (1) Synaptic density investigation into the structural basis of epilepsy using a novel PET tracer for synaptic vesical protein 2A, translating the bench research from my first grants from the Yale University School of Medicine and the Radiology Society of North America Fellow Research Grant Program, and (2) Machine learning epilepsy investigation of the remodeling of white matter tracts as a biomarker in pediatric epilepsy patients via the human connectome project, supported by the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology and the Society for Pediatric Radiology Seed Grant Program.
