My primary focus is on understanding the role of inflammatory and non-inflammatory macrophages in acute and chronic cardiac injury and disease. This includes utilizing single cells RNA sequencing to develop a cellular atlas of the failing heart. Additionally, my focus has been on understanding the role of interferon signaling following acute cardiac injury as it relates to the influx of immune cells over the course of inflammation and recovery.
