I am interested in how neonatal brain injury affects motor development. I am currently: 1) Characterizing motor phenotypes of mice following neonatal hypoxia; 2) Studying neuronal injury patterns associated with different motor phenotypes following neonatal hypoxia; 3) Determining whether pathologic motor phenotypes can be created/rescued by manipulating different basal ganglia neuronal populations during specific developmental windows.
