He has expertise in taking care of patients with dysmotility of GI tract from various reasons. He joined SLU faculty in 2016 where he took charge of few Cystic Fibrosis ( CF) related nutritional studies as principal investigator for site and represented SLU CF center. Over the time, he had several questions about CF intestine and motility in comparison with normal gut motility without CF. This area has not been explored in medicine and he wants to objectively provide description of ‘abnormal GI tract’ in CF patients. Dr Patel is also a member of several prestigious motility and CF organizations including ANMS and CFF.
