Professor Luke is a leading researcher in the areas of health behavior, organizations, policy, and tobacco control. A top biostatistician and social science methodologist, Professor Luke has made significant contributions to the evaluation of public health programs, tobacco control and prevention policy, and the application of new methods to community health interventions. He has expanded the repertoire of statistical methods, particularly the use of social network analysis and hierarchical linear models, in the field of public health. He directs the Center for Tobacco Policy Research, has led the doctoral program at St. Louis University School of Public Health, and has long served on the key community health behavior study decision at National Institute of Health.
