Elizabeth K. Mallott, PhD

Assistant Professor

Washington University in St. Louis (WU)

Dr. Mallott’s research examines how the environment shapes host-associated microbial communities both within and across species. Her work currently focuses on 1) interactions between social and environmental determinants of health and human gut microbiome variation; 2) variation in the gut microbiome across reproduction in nonhuman primates; and 3) comparative studies of gut microbial metabolism across the primate order.
