My clinical interests, broadly, include all neurologic conditions affecting the visual pathways. This most commonly includes demyelinating diseases, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, vascular diseases, autoimmune diseases of the neuromuscular system, and hereditary causes of visual loss. My research interests include the visual manifestations of mutliple sclerosis, and developing techniques for detecting, monitoring, and ultimately preventing visual dysfunction in such patients. I am also interested in Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension, both in natural history and understanding mechanism of disease. I have an interest in mitochondrial diseases, particularly those that affect the optic nerve.
