Dr Hoefgen (she/her) is a Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecologist (PAG) providing general and specialty gynecologic care to this patient population. Her research interests in PAG include ovarian sparing surgery, endometriosis and LGBTQI+ affirming care. Dr. Hoefgen is the co-founder and co-director of the Integrated Care & Fertility Preservation Program at WU/SLCH, focusing on fertility preservation in patients with medical illness or treatments that threaten the function of their gonads. She also manages the long-term gynecologic needs of cancer survivors. Her research interests in this area focus on ovarian/testicular cryopreservation for fertility preservation, improving access to fertility preservation, program development, genital GVHD and gynecologic care of childhood cancer survivors.
