My specific research interests include: 1. the relationship between social determinants of health and cardiovascular outcomes and cardiovascular disease prevention in high risk socioeconomically disadvantaged populations 2. Investigating how social determinants impact the dissemination and implementation of evidence based, effective preventive strategies among these populations, 3. How these data can and should be effectively used to improve cardiovascular outcomes in vulnerable populations, and 4. The impact of health care policy reform on vulnerable populations challenged by social determinants of health.
