Our research focuses on understanding Aß metabolism within the brain extracellular fluid, or interstitial fluid (ISF), particularly in relation to synaptic transmission. We have pioneered novel in vivo microdialysis and in vivo electrochemistry techniques that enable us to specifically measure ISF Aß within the brains of living wildtype and APP transgenic mice. We have recently adapted our electrochemical method to detect aerosolized SARS-CoV2 in breath and the environment.
