My primary area of research investigates understanding ways of improving service access and practices among populations impacted by gender-based violence. Primarily pertaining to human trafficking victimization, but including sex work and dating violence. I also explore basic understandings about human trafficking (e.g., youth/adult; domestic/international; sex/labor) leading to improved service access and outcomes. Finally, I am interested in exploring ways to enhance social work practitioner and survivor resiliency through mind-body interventions and mindfulness practices.
