My primary areas of interest involve clinical trials research methodology, the conduct of clinical trials, and the statistical evaluation of clinical trials data. Major areas of application include cardiology, obesity in both children and adults, exercise physiology, and asthma. My central concerns in these clinical and translational research projects include developing and implementing study designs that minimize bias and enhance the likelihood that the planned study will confidently address the research questions of interest and ensuring that research projects are conducted using procedures that further the goals of the study. Additional areas of interest include the design and conduct of epidemiological research.
