My research deals with the evaluation of patient outcomes in the ICU setting in order to develop a systematic approach to the improvement of their medical care. I perform clinical studies including prospective randomized trials and retrospective cohort studies aimed at better understanding, preventing and treating healthcare-associated infections. I collaborate with local infectious disease and pharmacy experts as well as with other national and international researchers in the performance of multicenter studies.
