Maya Tabet, PhD, MS, is an assistant professor of epidemiology. She holds a PhD in Public Health Studies-Epidemiology from Saint Louis University and a Master of Science in Nutrition from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. Dr. Tabet’s research expertise spans across many areas of maternal and child health including nutrition-related chronic diseases, weight across the life course, poor maternal and infant outcomes, mental health, and health disparities. Dr. Tabet uses the life course health development framework to determine how exposures early in life and across the lifespan may affect outcomes later in life.
