My study focus on the tripartite interactions among the microbiome, stromal cells and the immune system during health and disease by leveraging systems-level approaches, gnotobiotic mouse models, and mouse/bacterial genetics. To better understand this interplay, I will foster collaborations to extend this work to human studies. I am committed to making discoveries that will have a powerful impact on host-microbe research, our understanding of the molecular mechanisms of diseases, and potentially improve targeted therapies for such conditions.
