Dr. Rao’s research interests are in the areas of big data, data science, and health informatics. Specifically, he focuses on developing scalable algorithms and software systems to extract meaningful insights from massive, diverse datasets. He is interested in employing machine learning and deep learning techniques to harness the value of large-scale genomic datasets and whole slide imaging repositories to advance healthcare delivery.
