My research spans over different areas of Statistics and Data Science. For over three decades, I have done methodological research on a suite of nonparametric statistical methods, called Resampling methods (e.g., Bootstrap, Jackknife and Subsampling) that are useful for uncertainty quantification, specially in applications with a small sample size due to their higher order asymptotic properties. I have also developed flexible statistical methodology for spatial data and time series data that are applicable with minimal model assumptions. More recently, I am working on high dimensional and big data problems that involve Machine Learning tools. I am always interested in exploring applications of my methodological work to complex data structures and their analysis.
