Our laboratory is interested in basic mechanisms of innate immunity, and the immune response to viruses. We have a particular interest in the receptors expressed by natural killer cells, and the ligands for these receptors, as well as immune evasion strategies employed by viruses. My clinical interests are in rheumatology, especially the etiology and pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis.
