Bethel D. Ataro, MD

Post-Doc student

Washington University in St. Louis (WU)

My clinical and research interests focus on implementation and dissemination research, health equity, and community-engaged public health practice. I am particularly interested in improving recruitment, retention, and access to care among underserved populations through evidence-based and culturally responsive interventions. My work has explored areas including Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, gender-based violence, mental health, housing and health, and chronic disease outcomes. As an MD and dual-degree MPH/MSW student, I am interested in translating research into practical, community-centered solutions that improve health outcomes and reduce disparities locally and globally.
