My research interest focuses on osteoarthritis (OA), particularly how obesity reshapes the joint microenvironment to drive inflammation and tissue degeneration. I study sphingolipid metabolism as upstream regulators of immune activation and inflammatory cell death in synovium and infrapatellar fat pad (IFP). I aim to define causal mechanisms linking lipid perturbations to macrophage and stromal responses, and identify actionable metabolic nodes for therapy.
