Mary Politi is a health psychologist, behavioral scientist, and co-director of WashU’s Center for Collaborative Care Decisions. Her primary research interests lie in health communication and shared decision-making. Through her work, she assists patients and the public in understanding health information, exploring their values and preferences when making health decisions, and collaborating to make evidence-informed choices that align with their needs. Additionally, she trains healthcare professionals, public health advocates, and members of the public who are interested in shared decision-making and patient engagement.
