Greg brings more than 25 years of technology leadership experience across health care, manufacturing, renewable energy, and higher education. He is known for turning emerging technology into practical action.

One interesting part of Greg’s background is that he has spent more than two decades teaching graduate students alongside his executive leadership roles. That experience has shaped a practical view of new technology: it has to be understandable, useful, and make a measurable difference in people’s work. And after 20 years in the classroom, he knows graduate students are quick to let you know when it doesn’t.

Today, in “Your Research Workflow Called. AI Can Help!”, Greg will discuss how tools such as AskWashU, Google Gemini, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot can help researchers streamline workflows, reduce friction, and spend more time on higher-value work, while applying the appropriate safeguards for sensitive data and protected health information.
