My clinical and research interests focus on asthma and chronic respiratory disease in pregnancy, an area associated with significant maternal and fetal morbidity but limited evidence to guide management. My work centers on improving care for pregnant patients with pulmonary disease through multidisciplinary clinical programs, outcomes-based research, and medical education. I have conducted research evaluating the safety and effectiveness of asthma therapies during pregnancy, including long-acting beta-agonists and biologic therapies, and have contributed to publications in pulmonary and respiratory medicine journals. At Washington University, I aim to help develop a dedicated Pulmonary-Obstetrics program that integrates Pulmonary Medicine, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Allergy/Immunology expertise. My long-term goal is to advance evidence-based care for pregnant patients with respiratory disease and establish a nationally recognized clinical and research program focused on maternal respiratory health.
