Andrew D. Atkinson, MS, PhD

Assistant Professor of Medicine

My methodological research covers several areas, including developing methods for handling missing data in clinical trials and in large observational cohorts, novel clinical trial design methods, causal inference, and Bayesian (spatial-temporal) modelling. I have primarily been involved with projects concerned with infectious diseases (HIV, hospital epidemiology, COVID), but also have experience with pediatric projects. I have a PhD in Biostatistics (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London), focused on developing methods for investigating informative missingness in time to event analysis using multiple imputation.
