I have broad-based interests in human integrative cardiovascular physiology, with a primary focus on sex differences in autonomic and cardiovascular regulation across the lifespan. My current research examines how the autonomic nervous system and cardiovascular function are influenced by the menopausal transition to better understand how aging and declining estrogen levels contribute to increased cardiovascular disease risk. My long-term goal is to identify mechanisms underlying sex-specific differences in cardiovascular health and aging to improve prevention and treatment strategies for women.
