My research is primarily focused on the epidemiology and prevention of work-related injuries and musculoskeletal disorders. Current projects include a large, prospective study of carpal tunnel syndrome and other upper extremity disorders, a study of lower extremity exposures in construction workers, evaluation of an educational intervention to prevent falls in carpenters, and a study of parkinsonism in welders. Our group is also looking at worksite-based health promotion and other interactions between work and health.
