My primary research interest is understanding how serious mental illnesses across the lifespan impact biological aging processes, including brain aging, and determine adverse health outcomes in individuals with these conditions. I am also interested in understanding the neurobiological mechanisms of treatment-resistant depression in older adults, developing novel interventions to restore brain health in individuals with serious mental illnesses, and developing novel models to evaluate biological aging processes.
