My research focuses on improving pediatric surgical outcomes by examining the factors that contribute to optimal post-surgical recovery. Specifically, I am interested in how the outpatient environment, patient and family education, and effective communication between caregivers and families impact these outcomes. By exploring the dynamics of outpatient care, I aim to identify key elements that promote faster recovery, reduce complications, and enhance overall patient and family satisfaction. My work seeks to bridge clinical practices with evidence-based strategies for effective education and communication, ensuring families are well-informed and supported throughout the surgical process. Understanding these factors can lead to better-prepared caregivers and empowered families, ultimately improving the quality of pediatric surgical care and patient well-being. This research has the potential to guide best practices, inform policy changes, and foster innovations in surgical care delivery for pediatric patients.
