Dr. Hudson’s research career is dedicated to the study and elimination of racial/ethnic and socioeconomic disparities in health. His research interests center on the social epidemiology of depression among African Americans. With this focus, Dr. Hudson plans to develop tools to more effectively connect research on social determinants of health with specific actionable policy recommendations. He also is working to increase understanding of specific steps that can be taken to improve quality and integration of care in health care settings.
