My research interest is in understanding the molecular mechanisms that regulate colon maturation and function during postnatal development, and how these developmental programs are reactivated during chronic intestinal inflammation and colorectal cancer initiation. My research integrates advanced 3D imaging approaches, molecular biology techniques, genetic mouse models, and transcriptional profiling to study lymphatic, immune and epithelial populations in the colon. My long-term goal is to identify signaling pathways that can be therapeutically targeted to improve intestinal health and treat colorectal cancer.
