Erin Hickey, MD is an attending physician on the Pediatric Palliative Care team (PACT). Her non-clinical focus includes communication skill development and supporting healthcare provider grief, and she was the recipient of the Jerome T. and Carol B. Loeb Teaching Fellowship in 2022, which awarded protected time to develop a grief training curriculum for pediatric residents. She has been the lead facilitator for the existing communication skills simulation for senior residents for the past three years. She also works closely with the WashU Simulation Center to schedule and facilitate communication skills simulations for medical students at WashU School of Medicine. She completed the Vital Talk Train the Trainer Faculty Development Course in 2023.
