As a physician specializing in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine, my research focuses on the brain-gut access and how hormonal stimulation effects weight regulation. Additionally, I am particularly interested in developing evidence-based guidelines for primary care physicians, internists and pediatricians to effectively treat obesity in community settings. My work bridges gap between primary care approaches and specialized interventions from endocrinologist and bariatric surgeons. Given obesity high prevalence, my goal is to create practical methods that enable front-line clinicians to provide effective obesity care, complement the work of specialists in addressing this significant health challenge.
