Respiratory viruses commonly cause acute infectious illness but can also trigger post-viral lung disease (PVLD). What I am interested in is how acute disease transits into PVLD, the interplay of immune cells and epithelial cells in PVLD, and how to block/attenuate the development of PVLD.
