University of Missouri – Columbia (MU)

Dr. Weston is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Missouri Sinclair School of Nursing. She is dedicated to improving the health of rural communities, with a special focus on mothers and infants. Her research explores how rural childbearing women engage with health-promoting behaviors—including nutrition-related behaviors for mothers and infants—and how these behaviors influence broader community health outcomes. She is particularly interested in how habitus—the social and environmental factors that shape norms, values, and behaviors—affects rural women’s worldviews and their health-related decisions.
