My research focuses on community resilience and the structural factors that influence the distribution of social determinants of health across communities and populations. In particular, I look at how we might prioritize social justice and health equity in policy decisions at local and national levels to close gaps in opportunity and health, and reduce threats from climate change. To address these complex systems-level issues, my methodological toolkit includes participatory action research, group model building, and mixed methods.
