Associate Director, Fetal Care Center

Washington University in St. Louis (WU)

My clinical and research interests center on fetal diagnosis and therapy, with a focus on optimizing care for pregnancies affected by congenital anomalies and complications. I specialize in advanced fetal interventions, including laser therapy for twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, selective fetal reduction, shunt placement, intrauterine transfusion, and fetoscopic and open fetal surgery such as prenatal spina bifida repair. I aim to identify prenatal methods to improve prediction of postnatal outcomes in provide families personalized prognostic information about their pregnancy. I also investigate ways to improve outcomes for patients undergoing second-trimester loss or termination of pregnancy, integrating compassionate care with evidence-based practice.
