My primary research interests lie in the study of neurodegenerative and traumatic brain conditions. This is a rapidly developing field with the current implementation of machine learning and other computational models that increase the depth to which scientists can examine the nature of these unfortunate conditions. I am currently pursuing a MD-PhD degree at University of Missouri-Columbia and am currently working with Dr Zezong Gu dealing with understanding the pathophysiology of brain/spinal trauma caused by direct impact injury and blast exposure. Our team is extremely dedicated to linking the basic science to the clinical reality, hence the essence of translational research.
