Assistant Director, Center for Drug Discovery

Washington University in St. Louis (WU)

My research aims to translate basic biomedical research discoveries to clinical drug development. I approach drug discovery projects holistically obeying their multidisciplinary nature. I analyze clinical applications’ pharmacology requirements to identify the key assays, then build a cross-entity comprehensive drug discovery platform accordingly. I advance projects by integrating data from in vitro, in vivo and DMPK assays to make evidence-based decisions. I also pay special attention to intellectual property generation, which is the foundation for advanced drug development. All the above information is integrated into structure-based drug design. Within several years, I advanced multiple drug discovery projects at Washing University in St. Louis, one of which has provisional patent filed.
