I’m interested in examining psychophysiological responses to pain, particularly cardioautonomic reactivity. My research approaches stress reactivity through an evolutionary framework to examine how threat-response systems that evolved for acute danger may result in maladaptive patterns for more chronic stressors (e.g., persistent pain).
