My overall research goal is to improve the health and well-being of adolescents experiencing marginalization through community-partnered research. I have a special interest in working with systems-involved youth (i.e., youth in foster care, youth in the juvenile legal system), viewed through a positive youth development and youth empowerment lens. My projects to-date have incorporated diverse methodologies, including mixed-methods program evaluation, social network analysis, and geographic information systems (GIS) and have involved topics such as youth mental health, substance use, and violence prevention. Through my work, I hope to strengthen cross-sector partnerships, develop transformative youth-facing prevention programs, and sustain meaningful community partnerships grounded in reciprocity and co-learning.
